You'll be the face of Hearth in neighborhoods across Denver and beyond, which means the job is equal parts logistics and hospitality.

Farmers Market Staff Member - Hearth Bakery
Job Type: Part-time, Seasonal
Reports to: Farmers’ Market Manager
Pay: $17/hr + tips (average tips last year: $15/hour)
Job Description:
Hearth Bakery is looking for friendly, outgoing, responsible, and reliable folks for our 2026 Farmers’ Market team. We specialize in providing our community with quality artisan sourdough breads and pastries. As a Farmers’ Market team member, you will be a face of our brand and our product in the community. We are looking for charismatic, genuine, and thoughtful individuals who are confident in their ability to connect with people and our products.
The ideal farmer‘s market staff member is someone who:

Enjoys early mornings, working outside, and providing exceptional hospitality
Is eager to promote Hearth Bakery’s brand and products
Is able to maintain a consistent positive, welcoming energy
Has enthusiasm for engaging with the public, small businesses, and local food
Schedule:
Saturdays and Sundays from May 2nd - November 21st, 2026
Must be able to commit to 90% of shifts prior to being hired (MUST be available for all but 3 shifts/days)
Saturdays (6am-3pm) - City Park, Longmont, Harvey Park, and Riverfront
Sundays (7am-2pm) - Highlands Square, and South Pearl St
Qualifications
Valid driver's license
Able to lift 40 lbs (pastry trays/bread crates/tent weights)
Ability to stand on your feet for several hours at a time
Able to work with customers, partake in small talk, answer questions, and promote the Hearth brand
Able to handle cash and make change
Preferred:
Previous experience in a customer-facing role (i.e., retail, service, events, etc.)
Interest or experience in food systems, baking, coffee, or agriculture
Responsibilities:
Transport baked goods from the bakery in Wheat Ridge to the designated Farmers’ Market location
Set up and break down a full-market booth, including signs, tents, tables, weights, product displays, etc.
Sell Hearth‘s artisan pastries and bread at farmers' markets with high-level knowledge
Deliver consistent, high-quality, genuine hospitality to customers throughout your shift
Maintain a tidy, organized, well-stocked booth
Handle sales and cash transactions (logged in POS system)
Return empty trays, baking racks, tents, etc., to the bakery location (Wheat Ridge)
